YOGA NIDRA CLASS

Free group sessions:

  • Every Sunday Evening - 4:00-5:30 pm PT.

Yoga Nidra describes a state of consciousness that is spacious and boundless, where the layers of our being are recognized, met with awareness, and released for deeper freedom. This class is a practice to cultivate the state of Yoga Nidra and is offered once a week. My practice and teaching are influenced by the Shiva-Shakti-Tantra perspective which centralizes and honors the seat of the divine feminine, goddess, mother.

Sunday evening will contain all components of preparatory practices including warm-up's, Surya Namaskars, standing poses, balancing poses and seated asanas (45-55 minutes). This will be followed by the practices to cultivate the consciousness of Yoga Nidra (25-30 minutes). You may choose to attend only the Yoga Nidra segment, however please do your own asanas before, to facilitate relaxation of the physical body. We appreciate you arriving no later than 4:50pm for Yoga Nidra segment.

You need: A smart device with a data connection to Zoom, a silent space where you can sit comfortably

MINDFULNESS PRACTICE CLASS

Free group sessions:

  • Offered in healthcare settings as periodic series and for professional continuing education and professional development

Educational and experiential focused trainings, these sessions include evidence based contemplative framework, guided practice, dialogue, and reflection. Mindfulness and Compassion meditation focuses on experiencing the awareness of being in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. We use breath concentration, other anchors for concentration, to embody awareness within a trauma-sensitive lens. A trauma-sensitive lens keeps in mind a practitioner's need to access meditation practices gradually, gently to receive optimal benefits.

You need: A smart device with a data connection to Zoom, a silent space where you can sit comfortably

Optional: cushions, blankets.

Taught by: Nandini Narayanan
